We always like to use inches for our measurements, unless otherwise specified.
Take the tape measure and wrap it around the middle of the neck. If it passes over the Adam’s apple then you’re doing it right. Give us the exact measurement - There’s no need to add any extra allowances.
Place the tape measure at the point where the left shoulder meets the left arm then measure straight across the back to the same point on the right side. This is where the seam will be.
Find the widest part of the chest (usually over the nipples) and wrap the tape measure around, being sure to leave two fingers between the chest and the tape.
Find the widest part of the stomach (usually over the belly button) and wrap the tape measure around, being sure to leave room for two fingers.
Place the tape measure on the outside edge of your arm. Keep the arm straight and measure from where the shoulder meets the arm all the way down to where your thumb joins your hand.
Wrap the tape measure around your wrist, making sure to leave room for one finger.
Place the tape measure at the highest point of your shoulder (usually where the shoulder meets the neck). Measure straight down to where you want the kandura to end - we recommend going to the top of your big toe.
Our expert tailors add allowances to the measurements you provide us, according to your preferred fit. We will craft your perfect kandura with slightly more or less space depending on whether you choose a Slim, Regular or Loose Fit. The Slim Fit allows just enough room for an undergarment while still leaving space to make movement easy and comfortable. The Regular Fit adds a few more inches to the chest, waist and hip measurements and the Loose Fit allows for even more room still.
No two Meemo kanduras are made equal. We give you the chance to customize your garment, right down to the cut and shape of the shoulders. Choose from elegant sloping shoulders, masculine square shoulders or traditional regular shoulders.
